I did an extended test drive with a 2019 X3 M40i and I've also driven and heard many others and I've loved how loud and obnoxious and crazy it can be with the pops and cracks. How many miles have you done? I did a very relaxed 500 miles so far and just this week started driving a little more aggressive here and there but overall, nothing crazy and below 4000 rpm except twice when it entered kickdown.
