I don't disagree. It is missing those cracks and pops from the video. My hope is still out on exhaust breaking in over the first 1000 miles, but I won't hold my breath. Maybe the wanted to tone it down due to the X3M. We shall see. I am NOT dissatisfied with my 2020 however.  |
Don't get me wrong, I love the car and it's everything I spec'd and special ordered.
I did an extended test drive with a 2019 X3 M40i and I've also driven and heard many others and I've loved how loud and obnoxious and crazy it can be with the pops and cracks. And then I drive this home and of course I'm trying to be easy on it but I want to hear a little bit of noise so I flip it to sport and go for some backfires and nothing....... it was a huge reason for me to get an X3 M40i and not an M340i or a sedan
