I would suggest to first determine the wheels specs to see if they will fit (without adding the tire sizes yet). Is the wheel’s hub size, offset, and bolt pattern compatible? Once you get it figured out if the WHEEL will fit…then determine what is the correct size tire you need to stay within spec of the rolling diameter you need for that size wheel…as well as the correct width etc to fit the wheel correctly.

For example, many 5 & 7 series wheels are compatible on each model (in regard to all of them that have a 72.56mm hub)…but the 7 series uses a larger circumference tire than the 5 series. So, yes…you could mount the 7 series wheels on many 5 series…but you’d have to change/lower the tire size to fit the wheel & tire on a 5.

So again, check if the wheel fits your BMW…then determine what is the correct size tire to mount to the wheel.

Good luck.

In the chart below you can see what the wheel specs are for the various BMWs that has the Style 32 available. If they came off of an e39 5 series…then you’d have an additional issue to contend with…the e39 has a larger 74.1mm wheel hub…so you’d have to use hub centric rings just to get the wheel to fit without creating serious vibration issues…because the X3 has a smaller 72.56mm hub.

Then once you got the correct wheel…you’d have to use the correct tire size for whichever size Style 32 you got. You can’t use the tire size from a 3,5,6,7 series on the X3.
