I don't get how people are all of a sudden wowed by the drivetrain? To me its the most disappointing thing about the M40i. No torque vector/LSD? Some software to make the car sound a bit louder? A couple mm of suspension drop ( which any tuner is going to toss 10 minutes into ownership).
Its still an N55, the same one that has been in an X3 for years. They haven't really changed anything else about the car but boost the factory HP ( which for some reason people don't get that more horsepower from factory means less incremental HP with tunes and boltons).
Its a good car in stock form. But if you are big into modifying it then its no better than anything that has come before.
I dunno guys, i think you are out to lunch on this car's potential.
Want a racetruck? Wait for the real M with real changes.
