The right thing for BMW to do is commit to a retrofit of the wireless charging parts into cars at the local dealer once the parts shortage has subsided. Of course they are not going to do this because it would cost more money.. and they are not actually sincere in the first place.
I am also interested to know if they have omitted all of the features that get added with that option, or just the wireless charging module itself.
Also - how does the VIN description of vehicle features (on bimmer.work , etc) compare to what is actually provided on the vehicle. I would be interested to know if there are NHTSA / DOT VIN related compliance issues assorted with these feature leave outs. Not sure how the VIN coding systems work.
