Here's my take on it. Assuming it is financially feasible, keep the 9-3 as a beater car for bad weather and Home Depot runs, and pick up a Mustang GT convertible to scratch your sports car itch. The mileage isn't crazy high on the 9-3 and assuming some of the bigger maintenance items have now been taken care of, it should keep trucking with regular basic maintenance for quite a while. This option potentially lets you experience the best of both worlds.
