This seems to be the view of numerous manufacturers. In short, more and more models are shipping without a dimming option available for passenger side.

The asymmetry bothers me a little, but in reality, most of the glare is dispersed by the convex nature and it really is hard to even notice.

Still, would rather have it than not, and I suspect the savings to the manufacturers is <$8 per car.
