X3 hit hard(ish) - will insurance try and repair it?

In a nutshell, sauntering along in a car park when a woman turned right at a T-section, ran very wide and absolutely nailed us (wife and kids in the car). She said her brakes failed, i suspect she hit the gas by mistake given the initial impact is on the front left and she hammers away until the rear left wheel. She did not slide into us, she hit us and continued to push once there was impact.

Regardless, I am getting a sense the insurance company is going to try and save this thing. I have replacement at about $20K with the wreck worth maybe $7K (engine is fine and only has 50,000 miles on it). So the tipping pint is circa $13K.

My concern is the b-pillar frame, it seemed to do a brilliant job but i am uneasy about driving the car again given it has received quite the whack.

Thoughts, feelings?
