You've completely missed the point of his post. BMW is in massive cost cutting mode right now, and the little details like the fender plug begin to add up. I'm sure the X3 LCI will be full of cost cutting details once they can be seen in the flesh.

The new 3 series is a soft, hollow feeling, cost cutting POS. Certainly not the ultimate driving machine.

The 2 series could be promising, except the interior materials are on par with a 1996 Chevy Cavalier.

I too miss the days when BMW produced only a handful of highly quality class leading models.
