The video you posted is to remove paint transfer - paint that has rubbed off an object and is sitting on top of the paint of your car. If you have a scratch (ie paint is missing from your car) then this method will not work.
I have a Blackvue 650S and I've been super happy with it. I have it hard wired to allow parking mode to function which records when there is movement/impact. I believe the latest model right now is the 750S and 900S.
