I can sort of understand a 100 kph limit around Toronto but in the middle of nowhere of ON it should be higher.

I drove to Toronto many times from Detroit border and I agree, speed limit is ridiculously low and hence I got caught number of times. My biggest ticket was doing 240km on 100km zone. Was let go with a ticket with $1000 fine and date/time for trial. He would have taken me to jail if I wasn't a US citizen according to OPP
