Many years ago my wife (now ex-wife, who worked at an OB-GYN clinic) drove my slope nose Porsche to work. When the doctor/owner came in he was walking around looking for another doctor (visitor).... when he finally asked who was there to visit, the staff replied nobody. He continued to look, and when the staff asked why he thought there was someone there to visit, he asked who drove the Porsche. He was a tool.
Back in the day when people asked, it bothered me so I just brushed it off. Anyway, I don't really get asked much anymore, but when I do, as I spend most of my day out in the yard, I reply John Deere.
Fast forward a few decades and a new life, my track car was a 3.6 Turbo and my wifes track car was a 993 RS clone. When we would take her car to a club function, or any social gathering, people would talk to
me about
her car. At times to a point where I would have to say, talk to her, it's her car and excuse myself to go get a drink.
