Returned my X3 today, after 99k miles in 7 years. Bit of an unusual Bimmer as I wanted a manual, and at the time you could still select /colors/ for cars and leather. Now it's Boring Grey, Boring Black, or even more boring White.
Anyway, it's been a great car, I hope it's replacement G05 is as good really. I've done /everything/ with it, including a lot of 4x4 stuff, fording, and going places were only Defenders go. And it still look fantastic after all that time (apart from the Alloys of course, but hey...).
Had one mecanical failure: clutch pedal 3 years in, it was a recall and the pedal failed on mine -- they changed it and since then it's been fine (with a bit of WD40 every year to prevent squeaking).
Moonroof was squeaking between ~5C and about ~13C -- colder, nope, hotter, nope. BMW "fixed it" twice then I gave up and lived with it!
That's it. So long F25!
