I've had my fair share of tickets a while back and to summarize "you are almost 99% guilty all the time and evidence doesn't really matter", especially in "minor" traffic cases. Perhaps some exceptions are serious cases where people got injured or killed. I still remember this case where I asked all the right questions, and officer had 0 evidence, but in the end the judge said "I appreciate your effort, but I don't think officer with xx years on the police force would lie...", so I got court supervision, a fine of only $75 and yeah court fees like $250)) And yes you can win eventually, but the cost and time would not be worth it.
