No, the intercooler ended up in very close to the stock location. No need to extend the charge pipe coupler at all. Other than the brackets, it did take a ton of hacking at the sealing shroud on the core support to get it finagled in there. Where necessary, I sealed any leaks between the shrouds and intercooler with exterior duct tape to promote as much flow as possible through the core.
