While DWS06 have OK snow traction and the Nokian WRG3 do a great job impersonating an "all season tire" (they're really more of a hipo winter), if you really want to turn and stop in cold weather/surfaces, you need the right rubber.

DWS06 are better then OK on snow traction. I been able to go thru unplowed NYC streets of 5"+ without an issue
