Chargepipe popped at 7k rpm on a 5th to 6th upshift, throttle closure for torque reduction during upshift likely spiked charge pressure and well... you see... rest of the plastic flange pieces are on the freeway somewhere I suspect.
Still drove fine but of course zero boost, no CEL/30FF surprisingly enough but then I did stay out of the throttle thereafter knowing full well what happened. |
Thanks for sharing this post as I had the same occur to my wife's X3 under similar circumstances & cheaper and more durable replacement than the OEM part.
