Hey guys,
I have a stupid question.
I don't want to remove the cradle yet, but I lost a Cross pen through the hole through which the wires come out from the nether regions of the bin to get into the cradle. [So, I was using the cradle to store the pen, lifted it for some reason, and krik-krik-krik-whoosh down the hole at the back
]
It's a brand new car (1 month, 800 miles
), so I am a bit unsure. First, I'd like to retrieve the pen... it was an embossed gift from my wife. But more importantly, I am worried that it will cause a short circuit or something down there by touching some of the electronics and power socket connections etc. I can barely see it using a flashlight, tried fishing it out with a magnetic screw-retriving probe, but Cross pens are apparently only mildly magnetic.
Does anybody have an idea whether I should be able to easily retrieve it, and -- more importantly -- will it cause any harm if I let it lie there for a while? For example, can it go down any further holes and cause more stinkers?
Thanks for indulging me,
A
