Of course you can put winters on the stock wheels that come with the car.

Many of us have a second dedicated set of wheels for winters to avoid twice a year removed/reinstall of tires. Makes the change-overs easy, and not that costly amortized over 4 or 5 years. Less damage potential as well. Usually our winter wheels are less-costly choices.
