It has happened to me at least a handful of times. This usually happens when I am behind the car for a few minutes tying my shoes or loading the bike rack. I have had the key in my pocket and on the floor of the driveway. Weather conditions were all dry and haven't been in any recent rains or car washes. Twice it opened onto my loaded hitch bike rack. Not sure what is causing this issue for me as I don't have that kick to open feature.
