2011 BMW X3 2l diesel auto.
I read and view the photos with much interest about removing the glove box. I wish to replace the front cigarette lighter. I believe it is fuse 65 but my info book does not confirm this. Anyway, I have taken out all the screws mentioned in your report but I have a 'butterfly' shaped catch stopping me from pulling the box out. It looks as though this butterfly catch should turn 45 degrees to allow me to pull the box but I just cannot turn it with pliers etc. Anyone can help?
