Ohm meter check is what I would have suggested. Of course make sure connection is clean. You might try searching other model BMW forums. When I had the problem of no reset, I did a search on it and found I wasn't alone. I have a vague recollation of someone with the same problem of having to plug the sensors in a certain order. You might try jumping the connection.
