Biggest cause of new sensors not resetting, is a bad sensor even though it's new. Trying plugging your old sensor back in if you still have it and it's not worn. My rear sensor was new , but would not reset. Mechanic who installed the pads told me that almost all new sensors that will not reset are defective.

I've read in forums for other BMW model owners, especially those who race, of bypassing the sensor my cutting the "head" off and twisting the wires together to complete the circuit. Not for sure if this would work on F25. Mechanic mentioned something about the sensor was "magnetic". I don't know if this is true or if it is the magnetic acts like a generator causing a current; or is the current cause by the battery system.
