BMWFS better have some really good lease deals.
Marketing 101; they'll push MSRP up then offer discounts to make it seem more appealing, no?
It's stepping into the old X5/6M territory.
An X6M starts at over $100k.

This may not be cheap but it slots nicely in the lineup, quite a bit cheaper than an X6M and just a little more than a similar M4.
I was really thinking of the fist generation X5M

Regardless I wish BMW lots of luck.
I don't really have any reason to defend the price, but I'm just surprised that others are surprised. The starting price of the X4M is only $3-4K from starting price of the M4, and this is a competition model with an exec package. It's a lot more car than an M4 for just a bit more, are people expecting it should have been the same or cheaper?
