I agree with Chris55.
When I had my X3 F25 and 19" (255/40 all corners no run flat) I had mine at 36/40 and normally added up to 38/42 when controlling. Wear seemed far less, comfort did not supper, but the cars sportiness was much improved, and lastly it improved fuel economy)
Today I run an X5 E70 with 19" (255 - 285 run flat), and here I also add more than BMW says in manual, same picture as with the X3
