It doesn’t matter with the OEM version that the crossbars are longer. Securing the crossbars at 2 points is just fine.

Once you mount the bike holder section the system is extremely secure as the 4-point box is completed and secure. Re-drilling the crossbars to mount at 4-corners is completely cosmetic.

I ended just removing the hardware from that side. It’s actually a tad easier to install as you only have to slide in and secure the crossbars on one side. If you want to secure both sides, 1 minute with a drill will take care of that, but I’m lazy, and since it adds no stability I just use it with the 2 secure points instead of 4.
