These are 'M' performance vehicles they bridge the gap between series cars and ///M cars. Similar to Audi with their 'S' cars and MB with their smaller 43/53 motors. They get M wheels and improved M sport suspension and engine tune but not a full on M developed vehicle or engine. Think of it as a M lite or M inspired model. Never mistake it for a full on M car.
