The X3M is fine for those who need more hauling capacity, but the X1M should be the most fun of all these -- just like the smaller M2 versus the larger M3 or M5.
A hot 4-cylinder engine will be fine for the X1M -- just give me small SUV, with tight suspension, that I can fling around corners. Oh, and a manual-transmission option would be nice too.
