Either way, who cares what auto magazines say they think it is when there is documentation from the manufacturer that can be easily converted to US MPG.
The 14/19 numbers come directly from BMW during the Monticello event. That's why they are reporting them. Real world numbers may be different but that seems unlikely. So we all have to individually decide if we care or not. I care a little. Mostly I'm just disappointed that 14/19 is worse than my S65. I average 15-17 driving 60% highway in the V8 so I guess that would put me 14-16 in an X3M. Pay to play!
