2010 vs. 2011 Cargo Capacity
The 2010 specs show
Cargo capacity, all seats in place: 30.0 cu.ft.
Maximum cargo capacity: 71.0 cu.ft.
The 2011 specs show
Luggage volume m³ / ft³ 0,550-1,600 / 0,550-1,600 / 27.6-63.3
The numbers seem to suggest the 2010 has more cargo capacity than the 2011.
Yet the BMW literature states the following:
- 550L cargo capacity (15% improvement vs. previous generation)
- More trunk space than both Mercedes GLK and Audi Q5
- Up to 1600L capacity with split-folding rear seats
How does BMW claim a 15% improvement in cargo capacity for the 2011 when the 2010 shows bigger numbers? Are they measuring the cargo capacity differently in the 2010 vs. the 2011?
