I drove the front end on ramps, removed the bottom engine cover (just a bunch of torx), fed the wire from the top, then stuck my hand up to hook it up.

I am downplaying how difficult it was, my hands were cut up and I had to get into the right position to do it. Hand kept cramping up, but it was December, so that’s my fault. Took around 30 minutes.

The popular alternative is popping the rivets in the wheel well to partially remove the liner and reach in from the side. If you have the rivets and rivet tool, it might take less time.

If you plan on replacing the reflectors with paint matched ones, you can do them both at the same time, as the reflectors require removing part of the wheel well liner.
