When you have the windows up, sunroof closed and the fan on, like in the winter with the heater on or the summer with the A/C on, unless you have a place for the air being blown into the cabin to escape so more fresh air can come in, the cabin will become pressurized to a point where no more fresh air will come in because it has no place to go and you'd be sucking your own human CO2.
