Oil change frequency seems to offer two basic philosophical choices to go with:
1-BMW whose engineers designed the car and who run things like race cars; their vision may be clouded by their Design tools, test cars, sensors, and race performance analysis
2-the mechanic down the way who went to school with your best bud at work and has the inside scoop on the real maintenance tricks BMW is hiding from you because they secretly want all our cars to fail early so we'll rush out and buy new ones
Hmmm, tough one. I'll go check with that gal who makes my lattes, she seems to have a line on some good dope . . .
