I'm going to replace my Nokian R2's with a new set for my 2012 and reuse my 307 wheels for now. I'm down to 3/32"-6/32" between all the tires. Since I'll be driving from east coast to Utah for the winter I think I'll bite the bullet and put on a new set of R2's. I'm going to keep my 2012 for at least another year while the new 340i gets some potential issues resolved.
Looking at the winter options now for Nokian 19 or 20" R2's there aren't any run flats and I may have to go non RFT. But I have some time to figure that out.
