My plan is to get to it this weekend.
The metal pins are meant to be crimped onto bare wires, with the rubber sleeves going around them to make it water-tight once inserted into the plastic connectors. In other words, the kit is actually to make/assemble a connection from scratch. For our application we wont be using most of whats included because the connections are already made. We are just using the plastic parts as "caps".
My plan is to just use the plastic connectors to cap the male/female ends once they are disconnected from each other and the flaps. I will use the rubber sleeves to plug the holes and put a little silicone in them to make them water tight.
The process will be simple and Ill take pics, dont be put off by all the bits and pieces, they arent all needed for our application.
