I disconnected my rear hose at the pump and capped the outlet over a year ago because of all the reported problems. Some have said that merely unplugging the the pump will stop the flow but that's not true. The fluid will flow right through the inactive pump. All you have to do is rotate the black collar on the hose connector and it will come right off. I used a rubber cap with a small zip tie for a clamp to make sure the cap doesn't come off.
