All cars built in SC so it wouldn't matter where your car is now. Usually in situations like this if it's a bad part, the part was more than likely used in every car during those timeframes. But obviously not all parts would necessarily be bad. Bmw would probably not even know the extent only that there are some failures. If it's a bad process it could be limited to a single line or station. If there's multiple of these then we might not all be affected.

Basically bmw is waiting to see the extent before initiating a recall. They may try to blanket repair any that haven't been sold yet. Not sure since it'd be an extensive process. Also I doubt there's many pre 11/19 still around that haven't sold. Most of the 2020s out there were probably built after this.
