Just a hypothesis - maybe at lower temp, the movable roof panel shrinks just enough that it is no longer so tight squeezed against the fixed glass portion, allowing vibration/movement which results in rubbing between the seal pieces? as Tex94 mentioned, one member found lubrication took care of the rattling.
