I’m mega late in this thread.
Coming from a 2020 M340ix to the 2022 X3MC was nice.
It’s not the better performance but the ability to quickly get in and out of the car.
I’m a big chubby guy and it’s easy for me to get in an suv vs a sedan.
I also enjoy the higher ride height. It’s useful when it snows here.
Late last year I bought a 65inch tv and was able to fit it in my x3m easily. I don’t think I would have been able to do that in an M3 or the M340ix without taking the tv out of the box.
I’d say for every day utility the X3M is amazing.
Now… if you have an suv already then absolutely go for the M3 because that car is so much fun! I had the pleasure to drive the M3 on the BMW thermal track and it was such an amazing car and well planted on the corners.
For me, I only had the choice of one car since I’m single, but if I had the budget for another car then I’d definitely get the m3 and then a cheap sports utility vehicle.
