TENPIN I noticed that with the buckets. It requires some focus unless you’re used to it and don’t worry about potentially rubbing against the side bolsters at the wrong angle. The side skirt is also more wide than other previous M cars which isn’t a big deal but the M2 for example is much easier to slide into for me.

I’ll definitely change the suspension on the X3M if I got one. Maybe since it’s so much larger, BMW M intentionally made it more stiff to compensate for the size difference over the M3. That’ll be an easy fix!

I guess to put it simply, you get the M3 if you’re down to remove extra comfort/size to maximize handling, and you get the X3M if that extra performance isn’t needed and comfort/size is more important. It just depends on your stance on the topic and your individual needs.

In a perfect world we have both with xDrive, and a manual E93 M3 for some top down, NA fun with a stick
