For a brand new M model SUV that is likely to be the most successful launch this year, I think $4,500 is quite good.

To be honest typically on new model releases my dealer does MSRP with maybe a small discount. I got a brand new X5 50i when all were spoken for and got a nice discount when all the others were at MSRP. Again loyal returning customers should be able to get a discount but I think the big ones will be a few months down the line when demand decreases. Then again BMW may watch the trend and limit production accordingly so who knows.
