I bought my X3 used, and knew it would need tires soon. My questions are the following:

1. Currently the car has the following tires - 235/60 R17

While they fit, not the size recommended on the inside of the door jam

2. Door jam Sticker says - 245/55 R17

I would assume I should go with this size?

However, when I look for that size they seem to either be not available, or when I find them very expensive per tire.

I guess ultimately I am wondering what tires you all would recommend, Brand, size, price that will be fine on my car, not damaging anything, and give a solid comfortable ride.
