That's too much water to be a door seal. I agree you a have drain plugged. Use a wet/dry shop vac to suck the water out. Then once you fix the leak, use a little carpet shampoo and a garden watering can to flood the carpet at the same time you suck it up. I clean carpet that way all the time. Get's it clean down to the backing.
