The Q5e and SQ5 are very similar in terms of performance, especially from a dig. I believe there's even a video online of an SQ5 vs Q5e and the Q5e wins.
I have an SQ5 and I had an extended test drive of the X3 M40i. The X3 M40i is faster any which way you look at it (drag/roll/WOT w/o brake boosting).
