X3 cargo space with the seats up is considerably larger. The space is slightly larger front to back and side to side, but is considerable deeper (top to bottom). Official figures are 17.5 cubic feet for the Sports Wagon and 27.6 cubic feet for the X3. One Sports Wagon feature we'll miss is the ability to open just the hatch window. It's convenient when you just want to grab something out of the back.
