you have to remove the chrome holder too by carefully prying it away from the lid. this comes off in one piece and the emblem is attached via tabs inside the holder. If you want to replace with same style you have to order the entire piece. If you are looking to change the style of the emblem then you can order online the layover emblem with adhesive that stick directly to the old emblem.
