Bought it on ebay - seller then sends you instructions and .bin file.
Copy file to usb and then plug it into a usb port.
Took about 5 minutes.

UPDXXXXX.bin ( with numbers ) - enable
UPD00000.bin - disable before going to workshop
Install instructions:
1. Copy provided UPD BIN UPDXXXXX.bin file onto an available blank USB flash memory stick with FAT32 file system.
2. Turn ignition on or start engine of your car and insert the USB flash drive into the USB port in glove box/center console.
3. Wait at least 30 seconds and then remove the USB flash drive.
4. Reboot iDrive system by pressing and holding the volume button.
5. Once the NBT EVO has restarted, it will restart itself after 60-90 seconds, so just wait.
6. Wait until the NBT EVO has restarted and once again reboot iDrive system by pressing and holding the volume button.
7. Enjoy Apple Carplay Fullscreen & Android Screen mirroring & VIM."
