Air not cold at night (AC OFF)
I usually have my windows down at night because I love the fresh cold air, but I was passing through the slums of San Francisco (Tenderloin smells like urine and feces) so I rolled them up. I figured I wouldn’t need the AC on since it’s about 58 degrees out and I had my recirculation off. Full blasting it with the temp selected at the lowest, 60, it was blowing pretty warm.. not as cold as it would be if my windows were down.
I have the face temp set all the way cold as well. Its weird because if I turn on the AC the air definitely gets colder. Is it possible the engine bay temps are just that hot that it mixes with the cold air not allowing the outside air to fully come in unaffected?
I don’t like having ac on too much because for some reason my car is prone to getting the mildew easily. I usually shut ac off but keep the fans on 5-10 mins before getting home to get rid of any moisture still in the vents.
