Failed SCR module/system

Hi Everyone,

I'm at a bit of a loss.. my mechanic told me it could cost $15k to replace the SCR module on my 2015 X3 28d, and I'm turning to this forum for thoughts.

I'm told we could work around it by finding a used wiring harness, so we can chop off the connector and splice the individual wires... but this is proving difficult to find. He found one in Europe from an X3 28d, but we're not sure if the connector we need comes on the main harness. Does anyone know if the European harnesses are the same as those in North America? And will it have the connector?

The other idea is to try to source the individual female pins and disassemble, then try to replace them on my vehicle. He seems to think they'd need to come from Germany, but we don't know if pins sizes are different for each wire, or how many we'd need.

Long story short, I've included pictures of my corroded connector, and I'm curious if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this as efficiently and cost effectively, as possible.

Thanks in advance!
