That is not accurate. They did not close the plant for retooling of the LCI X5/X6. They produced the the pre-LCI right up to the start of the LCI in April. And they were being delivered immediately afterwards, not weeks later.
An X3 produced mid-August is not going to take until September/October to be delivered to a dealer on the east coast, let alone one that is 10-15 miles down the road from the factory.
